Another Bore Fest
I feel like every week is a replay of the week before. I love the show for it’s moments (usually David Cook and now Michael Johns), but it seems like every week is each singer singing the same way as the week before with a new song.
David Archelleta- Sing with emotion, belt out some good notes.
Brooke White- Strip down a song,play an instrument
Jason Castro- Smoke room acoustic performance, look high as a kite
Syeshia- Typical power R&B song, with some huge notes
Kristy Lee Cook- Look great sing awful
Ramiele- Sing a power song without going for it (she seems scared to go for the big notes, or she just does not have it).
Carly- no idea what she is doing, but she is falling in my book.
David Cook and Michael Johns are the only 2 doing something different each week and it shows. It is not the same old thing. I mean remember Blake Lewis last year, I did not love his music, but he made you want to see what he would do next. I think this year they are all scared to take a chance.
Top Performances:
1- Michael Johns- Could lose the Hugh Hefner tie….what a great song and loved the blues beat/style. He is becoming a dark horse.
2- David Cook- Finally gave credit to all the rockers he stole (I mean borrowed from) and did his own arrangement and it worked.
3- David Archelleta- I really think hate is not a strong enough word (or is it jealousy) for how I feel about this kid. I just do not think he is that good and his style of music stinks. The judges and America love him though and he did sing well last night. It is just not my style.
Worst Performances
1- Kristy Lee Cook- How she did not kill on country night just shows how terrible she is. Randy/Paula and Simon should have been eating the cheese out of her crusty feet. Instead she got oh…you were good.
2- Ramiele- She is just terrible. America please let her go.
3- Carly- The entire time she was up there I was thinking, man that is 3 weeks in a row it looks like I dressed her, then Simon makes her practically cry. Her thighs are as big as mine and I am not exactly Kate Moss.
Simon Line of the Night- I must say I need help on this one. Nothing really stood out for me. He did the typical cruise line performance line but other then ripping Carly for the way she dressed, I thought Simon was real cranky last night and not on point with good one liners.

Year They Were Born a Snooze Fest
When Kristy Lee Cook is one of the better performers for a night, you know you are in trouble. The night was a weird night as it seemed like every performer was playing it safe and going back to what got them to this point. Brooke was trying to re-create the smoky piano bar from a couple weeks ago, Castro on the guitar with very little music, Syeshia, AGAIN, with a long drawn out ballad and on down the line.
Top Performances:
1-2 and 3- Michael Johns- To be able to sing any Queen song it is a chore, to do a rock anthem and nail it, he really showed his true talent. He was one of the only risk takers this week and it showed. Hopefully (for my sake) he is back.
4- David Cook- Now, I may get ripped for this, but let take it easy calling this guy Mr. Originality. Every week he is taking the song theme of the week, finding a rock band that took a pop song and made it rock and then singing it in that version. I love the way he is doing it, but he is not Mr. Original. He has found a niche and it will keep him at the top but he is not coming up with all these arrangements.
5- Kristy Lee Cook- Man is she hot……enough said.
How is Ramiele still here? I have not figured out if Kristy Lee Cook is getting the voteforworst.com vote or Ramiele is. I mean I felt like going to my room and getting in the fetal position after she was done yelling at me (I mean singing). Holy S, that was one of the worst performances of the season and possibly in AI history.
Simon Line of the Night (I will not go with the obvious animated creatures to Archelletta). It really was not a great line, but I think 30 million watching were thinking the same thing after he said it. Castro gets done and Simon says “Jason you (and some others up there) really need to take this competition more seriously.” Castro looks at him with his just got done smoking 2 bowls of pot from the bong and says “I don’t know why he would say that, I am taking it serious.” He then proceeds to hold up 2 fingers for his number and waves them like he is in the middle of an acid hit and his is starting to trip mannnn. This kid must smoke every night before he gets up there, you have to love it.
I must say though on a side note I like Jason Castro, he is the type you go to a bar in Port Jefferson to eat and he is playing the acoustic guitar playing all your favorites, while you eat some calamari and a burger. He is not an American Idol, but I love that stripped down music.
Chikezi goes home. Should he have gone home, no way Ramiele/Kristy Lee Cook/Syeshia should have gone before him. American did not get it correct. He would not have won, so going home now or in a few weeks does it really matter.

Some thoughts about the last 2 nights:
Kristy Lee Cook has voteforworst.com support and she will be here for a little while longer. I think she has Sanjaya potential as she is by far the worst person this season and will get all the haters support. We may be looking at her as the 6th person voted out.
LOSE THE PHONE CALL THING!!!! What is this the Jerry Lewis Tele-thon? I am waiting for Seacrest to come on my TV at 3AM drugged up and tired saying show me the board......David Hernandez still voted out. Just awful.
Cross-promotion at it's best/worst....I really hope this promoting fox movies/tv shows is just a one week thing. I like Jim Carrey, but has he lost that crazy guy from living color thing. I think he is just to old to pull that off anymore, he looked like he wanted to do something crazy last night. He just could not pull it off (except for the stupid elephant outfit). Jim oh Jim where are the days of Firemarshall Bill...LET ME SHOW YOU SOMETHING.

American Idol Turned On It’s Head
What a night last night by the top 12 and I have to say if we did a draft today you may be looking at an entire top 6 draft picks. I think Ryan was a little over the top last night and I have no idea why. He was stammering all night like he took all of Paula’s pills. I just did not get his over the top excitement and running around the stage. I hope this is just an opening night energy thing.
I am not a huge look at that stage man, when I go to a concert but holy S that stage was sick. I hate the mosh pit thing and the fans right in front, just not needed. I am not there to see how the front row is reacting to a song.
The best performance of the night was by far Chikizee (or how ever you spell it), I loved the Blue Grass start and then transfer into Rock. He really blew it up and I think he may be a slight dark horse.
David Archuleta, WOW, he completely choked on being the favorite to win and to forget words????? You can not forget words once, let alone 2 times. I like him, but I do not feel as confident as I did a week ago. Can he only sing those power solo songs (like he did with Imagine)? This was one of the first times he tried a faster song and he just choked on it. If he has no variety and can only do slow power solo’s he will not win.

2- David Cook- no longer a dark horse, he is a favorite to win
3- Brooke White- wow, powerful song and I think the emotion is real. I usually hate the crying thing, but man I hope Brooke is on needananny.com when I log on today. I think she is on the Gov’t Spitzer section.

Original Pool Teams are set
Bobby with possibly the worst team ever, everyone say Y-E-S, he got the 6th pick and then Chekizie on the way back. Awful. Debbie gets the favorite for the finals and also the favorite for the first voted out, so I have to go with her for the strongest team.
The rest are middle of the road with a slight chance to win. If a rocker wins this year, Jeannie and I have strong contenders, If they go country Michelle has a chance. Geri has the most polished singer, so maybe she will break her 2 year string of being the first person to lose her 2 people. Good Luck to all.
